The Quality Award of the Mexican Institute for Quality Control (IMECCA, A.C.) is presented every year by the Agapito Gonzalez Foundation for the Promotion of Quality to recognize a professional distinguished for promoting quality techniques and its application in the industry of Mexico.

The award is given annually to only one professional who should not have received it before.

The period for submitting proposals of candidates for this award is open during June and July, every year. The winner will be announced every September.

Eligibility Requirements as candidate to the Award.

1. To be proposed by a member of IMECCA and supported by other four members.
2. To have achievements that comply with the selection criteria.
3. To have performed the promotion of quality mainly in Mexico.
4. To have performed the promotion of quality mainly in Mexico.

Considerations for selecting the winner.

1. Level of personal involvement in the quality promotion as professor, instructor, author, speaker in the National Quality Congress and/or written contributions in technical journals.
2. Personal values of the nominee.
3. Contributions to the progress of quality science and techniques in Mexico.
4. Time that the nominee has been contributing to quality promotion.
5. Contributions to the promotion and progress of quality science and techniques in Latin America and the Asia Pacific region.
